The Role We are hiring a Solution Architect into our Design Network tribe. Are you a
Senior Engineer
who is already
shaping technical direction
and wants to
move into architecture ?
You will lead solution design across building specification, product information, and sustainability domains, staying close to delivery and working directly with squads to turn architectural decisions into shipped outcomes.
Your focus will be on designing and evolving complex web applications, improving data quality, interoperability, and performance. These applications enable construction professionals to write, maintain, and publish building specifications, help suppliers and manufacturers author and share product data with decision-makers, and support sustainability experts in assessing and reducing the environmental impact of their projects.
You will apply cloud-native and serverless patterns in
AWS , strengthen observability across distributed systems, and set consistent
API
patterns across
REST
and
GraphQL
that teams can implement confidently. You will also identify practical
AI and LLM
use-cases that can be deployed safely to improve user experience and data management workflows, with security and compliance embedded throughout.
What you get in this role You will have clear domain ownership with the autonomy to
shape solutions , not simply document them. You will work hands‑on with squads through reference architectures, design reviews and pragmatic technical leadership.
You will be supported by architects across other Hubexo tribes for alignment and challenge, while retaining accountability within the Design Network domain. This role offers a visible progression path from step‑up architect to broader senior architectural scope as the platform evolves.
About You
You bring a strong senior-level engineering background and can demonstrate ownership of cloud-native web applications.
You have deep practical AWS experience, hands‑on knowledge of data management solutions, and experience designing APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.
You understand how to embed security, observability, and operational thinking into architecture decisions and can communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
