Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 dependant on experience (DOE)
Hours: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 16:00pm; Fri 7:30am - 13:00pm
Location: Worcester, West Midlands
Are you an experienced Technical Sales Engineer or in a Technical CAD role and want to progress into sales? The opportunity is with a leading Engineering company based in Worcester. The client is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis due to growth.
Key responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone, email and in person while building strong working relationships.
Identify and respond to customer needs by developing suitable, cost-effective solutions and preparing accurate quotations.
Produce layouts and costed solutions for customer requirements using CAD.
Provide pre-sales technical guidance and maintain a high level of product and application knowledge to support both new and existing clients.
Coordinate orders efficiently, ensuring clear communication between customers and internal teams, and resolving issues promptly.
Maintain accurate CRM records, follow up opportunities, pursue new business and conduct site or customer visits.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to read technical drawings, ideally produced from AutoCAD
Ability to use SAGE 200 or similar
Excellent team player and problem solver
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
