Infant Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging activities tailored to infants' developmental stages.
• Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Observe and document infants' progress and behaviors to inform individualized care plans.
• Foster positive interactions with children to promote social-emotional development and secure attachments.
• Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective communication with families.

Skills

• Experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to early childhood education and infant care.
• Strong classroom management skills to support structured routines and behavior management strategies.
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations using first aid skills.
• Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.
• Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a nurturing environment while adhering to health regulations and safety standards.
