About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated CT/Xray Tech to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our clinical team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a CT/Xray Tech you will perform both diagnostic X-ray and CT Scans at a technical level that requires independent judgment.

What You'll Do

Imaging:Responsible for performing radiology exams as ordered by providers to assist in the treatment and diagnosis of patients. Operates CT scanner to perform diagnostic procedures according to MI department protocol. Positions and performs diagnostic x-ray and CT according to established policy and protocol and according to patient's age specific needs.

Patient Care: Provides care and service to patients which meet their age specific needs. Ensures appropriate radiation safety techniques are utilized on all patients. Facilitates provider or RN screening evaluation on all patients requiring IV contrast. Educates patients regarding the risks of contrast administration.

Communication: Obtains and relays pertinent patient history to radiologist. Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records. Verifies physician order and ensure that patients are properly identified and prepared for exams.

Equipment/Stock Maintenance: Maintains stock level in Medical Imaging/CT area and reports special purchase orders to Medical Imaging Supervisor. Takes appropriate action in the event of equipment failure; following CT downtime protocol.

Technical:Ensures all studies are networked via PACS system immediately upon completion of exam. Responsible for promptly entering data into the Meditech system upon procedure completion. Performs any necessary post processing of CT exams to conform to Radiologist protocol. Performs daily Quality Assurance and reports any problems to service engineer.

What You Bring

• Completion of AMA approved school of radiological technology. Minimum of two years practical experience as CT Technologist required. NYS, RT ARRT license required. CT certification. BLS certification. Advanced level certifications must be obtained within first year of employment.
