Job Duties and Responsibilities

Establish goals and objectives that support short-term objectives and long-term positioning of the business. The goals and objectives may be expressed in terms of safety, quality, turn-around-time, customer service, revenue, EBITDA, capacity management, reliability of scheduling, mechanic utilization, and other performance factors as MROH determines appropriate given the state of the business.

Assess, procure, and manage the resources (capital and disbursements, staffing, skill levels, materials, facilities, etc.) required to run a sustainable business.

Develop a high-performance team at all levels in the organization. Foster a culture that positively contributes to the development and satisfaction of employees while meeting objectives.

Ensure the appropriate distribution of workload amongst direct reports to ensure optimal results for the area, as well as maintaining adequate internal information systems that allow the identification of needs, or lack of resources necessary for the optimum performance of their duties.

Ensure that activities for which the Repair Station is rated are performed in accordance with the current Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Repair Station Manual (RSM), any current industry standards acceptable to the administrator (FAA) and other regulatory agencies which may have oversight of the facility.

Ensure that operating procedures are in compliance with company policies, applicable laws, regulations, airworthiness directives, and other safety standards, as necessary. Implement and ensure personal and employee adherence to corporate policies and guidelines that are established. Recognize the relatively new formation of the MROH group of operating companies and use prudent judgement in exercising authority in areas where guidelines are not yet established.

Represent the company and negotiate with private organizations and government affairs impacting operations.

Ensure that MRO licensed and un-licensed technicians have the work instructions, processes, equipment, and tools to meet business unit goals and metrics.

Ensure all activities in MRO are carried out in accordance with company procedures and quality requirements, including Quality Management System, Safety Management System and Annual Operating Plan.

Decisions made by this role that DO NOT require approval. (This does not bypass need for communication)

Establish guidelines for the facility that are consistent with existing MROH policies and guidelines.

Support and approve programs to achieve fiscal year financial and operating goals.

Day to day decisions of the business required to manage scheduled progress on aircraft maintenance, employee utilization, employee safety, customer satisfaction and service quality.

Decisions directly stated within the latest version of MROH authority limits as approved by the MROH Executive Committee.

Decisions that will require approval.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or related field; or equivalent background providing knowledge of appropriate business and technical principles, procedures and management techniques. Master's degree in engineering, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Special Licenses

Previous Experience

Minimum ten (10) years of aircraft MRO, engine MRO or related airline experience; including at least ten (10) years in a leadership capacity. Have a proven track record of hiring and mentoring high performing teams, providing knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements, and driving results through production partnerships.
