Role Description

We are seeking a
senior Systems Administrator III
to own day-to-day systems operations and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our platform. This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership. You will work closely with senior leadership providing strategic direction and will have influence over tooling, standards, and operational practices as the environment scales. If you enjoy working across both Linux and Windows systems, operating in security-focused environments, and supporting modern workloads including AI and ML platforms, this role is for you.

  • Administer and support
    Linux and Microsoft Windows Server
    systems
  • Manage
    Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and identity controls
  • Patch, harden, monitor, and troubleshoot systems and core services
  • Support virtualization and private cloud platforms
  • Proxmox, KVM, Hyper-V, OpenStack exposure preferred
  • Manage backups, restore testing, and storage platforms
  • Implement logging, audit controls, and security hardening
  • Support regulated environments aligned with
    CMMC, NIST , and ITAR
  • Automate routine tasks using
    PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Collaborate closely with cloud engineers, vendors, and leadership

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of systems administration experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    both Linux and Windows Server
  • Solid Active Directory and authentication experience
  • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, storage, and networking
  • Comfortable operating independently in security-focused environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Ansible, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • OpenStack or Ceph exposure
  • Containers or orchestration experience
  • Exposure to
    AI/ML platforms or MLOps environments
  • Engineering, HPC, or compute-intensive workload exposure
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, ISO 27001)

  • Must be a
    U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual
  • Ability to pass
    background checks
    and ongoing suitability requirements
  • Ability to access
    controlled technical data
    and secure environments
