Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product selections. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of engaging with a diverse customer base. Bilingual skills and experience in retail or technology sales are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
• Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and credit transactions
• Conduct product demos and provide detailed information about merchandise
• Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is organized and appealing
• Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods
• Ensure accurate cash handling and balance registers at the end of shifts
• Support inventory management and restocking efforts as needed

Skills

• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
• Bilingual abilities (English plus additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills
• Ability to perform product demonstrations and technical sales when applicable
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts
• Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
