Social Media Content Creator

Job Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator who understands current trends, internet culture, and visual storytelling. This role focuses on creating original photo and video content, coordinating with other creators, and working closely with our graphic design team to produce engaging social content for a cannabis brand.

You will be hands on with photoshoots, content planning, and day to day posting across platforms. This is a creative role for someone who is organized, trend aware, and comfortable collaborating in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and produce social media content including photos, videos, reels, and short form edits
• Plan and coordinate content shoots with internal team members and external creators
• Work closely with the graphic design team to align visuals, layouts, and branding
• Stay on top of social media trends, formats, sounds, and platform changes
• Manage and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
• Engage with the audience through comments, messages, and community interaction
• Track performance and adjust content based on engagement and analytics
• Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, visuals, and compliance guidelines
• Assist with campaign launches, product drops, and special content initiatives

Requirements

• Strong understanding of social media trends and content formats
• Experience creating photo and video content for social platforms
• Comfortable directing or participating in photoshoots
• Basic knowledge of graphic design workflows and collaboration
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools
• Experience working with social scheduling tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of the cannabis industry is a plus

• Understanding of brand driven content rather than discount focused content

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
