Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Printer and Copier Technician based in Painesville, OH. The Technician will install, maintain, and repair printers, copiers, multifunction devices, and commercial print equipment across client environments. Core duties include hardware diagnostics, part replacements, scheduled maintenance, and ensuring optimal print, scan, and copy performance. Additional responsibilities include deploying Windows print drivers, resolving print spooler issues, configuring network printing, and supporting scan-to-email/scan-to-network workflows using SMTP and Office 365. The role also involves working with Copystar, Kyocera, and other major brands, handling duplex printing, large-format plotters, and advanced finishing options.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in printer/copier support, including troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and firmware updates
  • Experience with Copystar, Kyocera, and major brands such as HP, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox
  • Knowledge of commercial printers, plotters, and advanced print features (duplex, finishing)
  • Windows skills: installing/configuring print drivers, managing print queues/spooler, basic user support, and familiarity with Windows Server print management
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMB printing, basic VLAN/Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, and connectivity of devices to on-prem/Cloud email services for scan workflows
  • Ability to configure SMTP settings and integrate scanning with Office 365
  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities; able to diagnose issues methodically and document resolutions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and customer service skills; comfortable working independently and collaboratively in dynamic client settings
  • Ability to safely move, position, and service office equipment; valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site visits
  • Previous field service experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; CompTIA A+ or manufacturer certifications are an advantage

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
