What You'll Do Day-To-Day- Plans, schedules and conducts independent assessments and surveillance of materials and products.
- Reviews documents, prepares checklists, conducts assessment interviews and prepares assessment reports.
- Ensures corrective action issues are identified & documented; conducts 'root cause' or 'apparent cause' analyses; verifies that corrective/preventative actions are effective and documented in the corrective action program.
- Reviews procedures to comply with ISO, ASME, ANSI & NRC standards and other national/international regulations.
- Awareness and comprehension of NRC or other pertinent national/international regulations, codes and standards.
- Awareness and comprehension of company & industry engineering processes, computer codes and standards.
- Develops and implements nuclear and/or non-nuclear QA procedures to be followed for design, procurement, construction and/or operation of materials and/or processes.
- Reviews QA specifications, test reports and other documentation to ensure safety and QA requirements are met.
- Inspects and reviews contractors' and vendors' work for compliance with QA standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Nuclear quality assurance experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge related engineering and quality assurance standards, techniques and criteria.
- Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: $106,000 - $144,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
