It's your instinct that this Internal Technical Sales role is built around. Based in Swindon and genuinely commutable on public transport, this Internal Technical Sales position runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. No evenings. No weekends.
You’ll be joining a stable and experienced team of seven where people stay because the work is meaningful and the culture is supportive. This role exists because one of the team is retiring after a long, steady career and is keen to pass on what they know properly before they go. That handover matters here. Knowledge is shared here not closely guarded.
As part of the Internal Technical Sales team you know that CAD sits at the centre of what you do. Around 80 percent of your time is spent responding to customer enquiries and turning them into accurate designs. You’ll be producing drawings, working through layouts, building bills of materials and sense checking solutions before they move to a formal quotation.
This Internal Technical Sales position will suit you if CAD is already a strong part of how you think. You use it as a problem solving tool, not just a drawing exercise. You enjoy talking designs through, checking dimensions, adjusting layouts and making sure what’s proposed works in reality.
People who do well here often come from environments where design and coordination mattered. Warehouse fit out is one route in, but it’s not the only one..... Design, space planning, kitchen or furniture design, technical sales support, or internal sales roles where advice mattered more than volume. If you’re used to taking a brief and turning it into a workable plan, you’ll recognise yourself here.
Sales in this Internal Technical Sales role shows up as instinct. It’s curiosity. Asking what else needs to be considered. Gathering the right information. Making sure nothing is missed before a solution is put in front of a customer. CAD, customer conversation and internal collaboration all sit together.
