Main Duties & Responsibilities
Represent the Mobile Development function within the Operational Leadership Team.
Lead and manage the Mobile Development teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes on time and to agreed standards.
Own and enforce coding standards, quality benchmarks, and technical best practices.
Manage team performance at both group and individual levels, including productivity and quality metrics.
Set and deliver departmental objectives and KPIs in collaboration with other technical leaders.
Act as a technical authority in client-facing and internal project discussions.
Encourage innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement across the team.
Support talent management activities including recruitment, onboarding, objective setting, performance reviews, recognition, and career development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new and improved product features.
Ensure robust application builds across mobile platforms.
Ensure appropriate unit testing to support reliability, usability, and performance.
Oversee defect resolution and guide the team to improve application performance.
Continuously assess and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Skills & Qualities
Strong understanding of the mobile application development lifecycle.
Proficient knowledge of version control systems and testing frameworks.
Technical expert in at least one mobile platform or core area of responsibility.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior developer or technical leadership role.
