Precision Machine Operator

About the Role

We are seeking skilled machinists to produce precision components. In this role, you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, contributing to the creation of high-quality products. Your expertise in CNC machining and close tolerance work will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including but not limited to horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills, and lathes, to meet production needs.
• Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to accurately machine parts, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Conduct thorough quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to required tolerances.
• Maintain equipment and perform necessary repairs, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions to maintain production efficiency.
• Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with manual machining skills.
• Due to certain project requirements, candidates must be US citizens.

• Six years of machining experience.
• CNC programming experience is a plus.
• Experience operating multi-axis milling and turning equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
