Journeyman Carpenter

Job Description:

We are looking for an intermediate Carpenter that is interested in growing into their full potential with a local company.

A Carpenter at Barberry Homes is responsible for conducting a variety of construction tasks on new residential construction and remodeling projects. This role requires an eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a strong work ethic. Carpenters are expected to take ownership of assigned construction activities and communicate with project supervisors throughout the project. This is a year-round position that operates out of a central location; however, local travel to project sites daily is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
A carpenter's daily responsibilities include:

• Framing, siding & finish carpentry.
• Providing project updates to supervisors.
• Ensuring safety, as well as clean working conditions on the jobsite.

Skills:

• Layout Rough & Finish Carpentry.
• Read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings.
• Computer Proficiency for Jobsite Software.

Education & Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in residential construction.
• Carpentry tools and vehicle in good working condition.
• Experience with Time Keeping & Construction Apps.
