Oolite Arts seeks an experienced, hands-on facilities manager to join their team This position supports the organization by maintaining all spaces and properties owned by the organization.
Oolite Arts supports artists and advances the knowledge and practice of contemporary visual arts and culture in South Florida. Oolite creates opportunities for experimentation and innovation, encouraging the exchange of ideas across cultures through residencies, exhibitions, public programs, education, and outreach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains the safety and condition of Oolite's properties.
- Liaisons with City of Miami Beach, Miami Code Compliance, Fire Department, Public Works, Elevator Department, and the Police.
- Prepares exhibition spaces and off sites for installation of artwork.
- Assists with the deinstallation of all exhibitions.
- Assists with the installation of artwork by providing materials and fabricating displays.
- Responsible for 40-year inspection, fire inspection, elevator inspection, and everything related to code compliance.
- Oversee all construction and infrastructure projects.
- Maintains all infrastructure of the organization.
- Sets up and takes down equipment for on and off-site events.
- Picks up and delivers artwork, publications, files, archives, and more, to and from Oolite.
- Assists staff and artists with moving artwork, materials, and equipment.
- Turns over artist studios annually.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three to five years of facilities management experience in an art museum, gallery, arts non-profit organization or education environment preferred.
- Specialty certification in electric, HVAC, or plumbing a plus.

- Ability to integrate the goals of this position strategically with the broader goals of Oolite Arts
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills
- Calm and collected demeanor, willingness to support the team at every level.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle numerous projects with attention to both process and people.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across departments in a team environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects.
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills required.
- Time management skills required.
- Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
