We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our C.R. Kurtz team.

Job Summary:

Receive service calls, enter / track calls in computerized dispatching system, efficiently deploy technicians, and manage scheduling. Responsible for day-to-day data-entry, classification of service invoicing, and administrative filing. Accountable for service department warranty returns, and the primary point-of-contact for office phone support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and serve as a point of contact for field teams and internal staff

  • Receive, schedule and dispatch service department calls

  • Utilize computer software to manage scheduling

  • Efficiently dispatch Service Technicians to calls or other related department activities

  • Communicate job details, start times, site requirements, and updates to field personnel

  • Escalate schedule changes, delays, or issues to supervisors or project managers as needed

  • Order all service parts

  • Build customer and equipment history files

  • Return all warranty parts and maintain up-to-date records on warranty status

  • Track job progress, and completion status using dispatch or scheduling systems

  • Update work orders, job logs, and time records accurately and promptly

  • Manage and maintain all service agreement contracts

  • Code vendor invoices for service

  • Primary point-of-contact for walk-in customers

  • Participate in cross training to perform customer service and administrative duties when required

  • Maintain a functional to do list

  • Follow company safety policies and ensure required site information is communicated before dispatch

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the dispatch and operations team

Qualifications & Skills

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Previous office, customer service, scheduling, or call-center experience preferred but not required

· Strong communication skills and a professional phone presence

· Basic computer skills with the ability to learn dispatch and scheduling software

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment

· Willingness to learn residential, commercial and industrial operations, safety requirements, and field workflows

· Display a neat and professional image to potential customers, existing customers, and co-workers

· Must be able to work independently demonstrating capable customer service abilities, computer skills, typing, business math, and general English proficiency

Training & Development

· On-the-job training provided for dispatch systems, scheduling processes, and industrial operations

· Exposure to residential, commercial and industrial construction, plant maintenance, and field service coordination

Work Environment & Schedule

· Office-based position with frequent phone and computer use

· Collaborative team environment supporting residential, commercial and industrial job sites and field crews

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47, $57,620.09 per year
