Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children with autism and developmental issues, implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in supporting the behavioral health and development of our clients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Preferred schedule: noon, afternoon, and early evening availability; candidates who are interested in weekend shifts are encouraged to apply as well.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Level 1 Provider, BCBA, and/or QSP.
- Commute to Shakopee and provide in-home EIDBI therapy during work days during after-school hours, and/or weekends.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behaviors for medical documentation.
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Provide support to children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in behavioral therapy or applied behavior analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and medical terminology is a plus.
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating empathy and patience towards clients.
