The Role: Senior Software Architect

As our Senior Software Architect, you will be the technical backbone of the Build Team. You'll lead architecture decisions, guide engineers, write production-quality code, and shape a platform built for scale, clarity, and impact. You will work across all engineering disciplines—full-stack, DevOps, Cloud, QA, and Security—while staying fully hands-on and involved in day-to-day technical execution.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments and loves building systems from scratch.

  10–15 hours/week, minimum 3 months

What Will You Do?

• Technical Leadership.
  Own the architecture for front-end, back-end, cloud, and integrations, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Hands-On Development.
  Write high-quality code, build critical system components, and support engineers during complex implementation work.
• Code Quality.
  Review code across all repositories, maintain clean engineering workflows, and ensure clarity between product requirements, design specs, and technical execution.
• Team Support & Collaboration.
  Lead and mentor engineers across full-stack development, DevOps, Cloud, QA, and Security. Unblock engineers, provide architectural direction, and collaborate closely with Product (CPO), Design, and QA.
• Architecture & Infrastructure.
  Design systems that integrate cleanly across our stack. Guide infrastructure choices on AWS, Google Cloud, Supabase, and Firebase. Maintain repository standards and stable deployment workflows.
• Execution & Delivery.
  Help evaluate complexity, support sprint planning, clarify tasks in ClickUp, and maintain strong communication within the Build Team through Slack.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Experienced Builders.
  8+ years in software engineering with strong full-stack or backend depth and solid experience building systems from scratch.
• Hands-On Technical Leaders.
  Ability to code, review, and guide engineers at all levels. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps, and modern infrastructure.
• Collaborators.
  Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and a global remote team. Mission-driven and motivated by meaningful impact.
• Bonus Points For:
  Experience building MVPs, cloud-native architecture, CI/CD automation, or modern security practices.
