Duties

• Safely operate a cargo van or box truck along designated delivery routes, ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and moving items as needed.
• Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports throughout your shift.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to report progress, delays, or issues encountered during route driving.
• Assist with warehouse activities such as loading supplies or inventory management when required.

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or route driving with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices for box trucks or cargo vans.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely using proper techniques; experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks for load handling.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Demonstrated reliability in load & unload procedures, route adherence, and punctuality.
• Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory management and safety protocols. Pay: From $19.00 per hour
