We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met. Your ability to motivate and train team members will be crucial in maintaining a positive work atmosphere and achieving operational excellence.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed during peak hours to support kitchen staff.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, scheduling, and overall restaurant performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment; casual dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in food service management, including knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and staff training & development.
  • Familiarity with kitchen management practices, including food production techniques and inventory control.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Culinary experience or fine dining background is advantageous but not mandatory.
