Description  Position Summary:
  Freezing Point is the fastest growing frozen beverage company in the U.S. and the maker of Frazil, 100% Juice Frazil, Frazil Energy, and Café Tango We are a growing, high-performance team in search of a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support the quality and reliability of software used across all Frazil business units.    This role partners closely with senior software developers and the QA Manager to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions, ensuring our systems are scalable, stable, and meet high-quality standards as the business continues to grow.   
Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites to support Frazil software applications 
  • Support execution of test plans, primarily through automated testing and occasionally through manual testing 
  • Build and maintain a working understanding of Frazil's test automation frameworks 
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and reporting of automation test coverage and results 
  • Identify, research, document, and track defects through resolution in collaboration with the QA Manager and development teams 
  • Provide estimates for test development efforts and proactively communicate risks or delays 
  • Assist with defining testing strategies and selecting appropriate testing methodologies based on change sets and acceptance criteria 
  • Debug software applications using logs, stack traces, and debugging tools 
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines to ensure test automation is integrated into build and deployment processes 
  • Complete all responsibilities outlined in the annual Performance Plan 
  • Complete special projects and support additional initiatives as assigned 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
  • 2–5 years of experience working in software quality assurance or software testing 
  • Basic to mid-level experience with at least one object-oriented programming language 
  • Working knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA techniques, and best practices 
  • Experience testing or developing front-end applications (Web, Mobile, or Desktop) 
  • Reasonable understanding of Web APIs and how to interact with them 
  • Experience debugging software using stack traces, logs, and debugging tools 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and build pipelines 
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar issue-tracking tools 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required 
  • High school diploma, college education, or relevant certification programs in a technical field 
 
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline 
  • Understanding of software design principles and common design patterns 
  • Experience contributing to testing strategies and overall quality improvements 
  • Ability to provide feedback on software quality and development best practices 
  • Experience working within complex or enterprise-level software environments

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on assigned tasks 
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and commitments 
  • Self-motivated learner with a willingness to grow technical skill sets 
  • Comfortable taking ownership within defined areas of responsibility 
 
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Fully onsite position in Salt Lake City, UT 
  • Frequently communicate with team members through email, phone, and in-person interactions 
  • Frequent use of computers, including prolonged periods of screen time
