Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team In this role, you will support the daily care and development of children in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can learn, play, and grow. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning.
  • Support children with their daily routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices.
  • Engage children in play-based learning activities that encourage creativity, social skills, and cognitive growth.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies.
  • Foster positive behavior management by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and respectful interactions among children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day experiences and developmental milestones.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom activities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with special needs is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families. Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
