Overview
We are seeking a friendly and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage service, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Candidates with a background in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food industry settings will thrive in this position. The successful will demonstrate strong time management, multitasking abilities, and proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and billing accurately using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and utensils as needed throughout shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal drinking age regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators during catering or banquet functions
- Uphold high standards of hospitality in nightclubs, restaurants, or banquet settings
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments; fine dining or nightclub experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management (retail math)
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail math is advantageous
- Must be at least 18 years old (if applicable by state law)
