Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of beverage preparation, and experience working in fast-paced environments such as fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings. This role involves mixing drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The bartender will also be responsible for maintaining food safety standards and supporting the overall operation of the bar area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming environment, taking orders and offering recommendations based on preferences.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies, garnishes, and beverages as needed throughout shifts.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behavior and adhering to licensing laws.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service during events such as banquets or catering functions.
- Handle multiple tasks effectively through excellent time management skills in busy settings like nightclubs or restaurants.
- Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, brewing techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Experience in sales, upselling drinks, and promoting specials to increase revenue.
- Background in serving.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professionalism.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and responsible alcohol service regulations.
