We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia. The Order Picker is responsible for accurately retrieving, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and correct delivery of goods to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets using an RF scanner or pick sheet.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, minimizing damage during transit.
- Stage completed orders for loading onto delivery trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanners is an advantage.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
