Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Transport goods to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as picking and packing.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Responsible for safe lifting practices when not operating machinery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
