We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Los Angeles, California. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity across all logistics functions. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures to maintain a secure and productive work environment. This includes ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety inspections. You will monitor inventory levels, manage shipping and receiving processes, and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to motivate and guide a team, manage workflows, and make sound decisions under pressure is critical. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and a solid understanding of logistics best practices are required. This is a key leadership role where your contributions will significantly impact our operational success and the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor workflow for all warehouse operations.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and manage stock rotation.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage carrier relationships and coordinate shipment schedules.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within logistics. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving procedures. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations and experience with PPE implementation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment is essential. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving operational excellence in a dynamic logistics setting.
