Experienced Forklift Operators are needed for our key distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our logistics operations rely on skilled individuals like you to manage the safe and efficient movement of goods. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A strong emphasis on Safety is paramount, and you will be required to adhere to all company policies and utilize all necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and safely.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, documenting any issues or required maintenance.
- Ensure proper stacking and organization of inventory to maximize space and prevent damage.
- Assist with inventory counts, including cycle counts and full inventory checks.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations, including mandatory PPE use.
- Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials if applicable.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven Forklift Operator experience.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one quickly.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial judgment, and balance.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
