Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using an order list or scanning device.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Wear and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to team efforts by meeting productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting order documents.
- Strong attention to detail is critical for accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Understanding of basic inventory and logistics principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
