We are looking for a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is essential for maintaining the organized flow of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for moving, sorting, and organizing various materials and products, ensuring they are readily available for production or shipment. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and prevent damage. Adherence to strict safety standards, including the correct use of PPE, is non-negotiable. This is a key position within our logistics department, supporting overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Move materials from one location to another using pallet jacks, carts, and other manual equipment.
- Sort and organize incoming materials and outgoing products.
- Load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and organization.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and equipment.
- Operate shrink wrap machines and other packaging equipment.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned by management.
- Support the logistics team in ensuring smooth material flow throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform consistent physical work, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic knowledge of inventory control and logistics principles is helpful. Must be reliable and punctual. Ability to work in a physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a productive workplace are essential.
