We are seeking a skilled and dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials and products throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. You will also be involved in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring materials are stored in their designated locations. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is paramount. You must strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, and a strong understanding of material handling best practices. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment and a commitment to safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in appropriate locations, following established procedures.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Valid forklift certification is highly desirable. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and operate heavy machinery. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and logistics procedures. Commitment to using PPE and maintaining a safe work environment. Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role is critical to our logistics operations, demanding a focused and safety-conscious individual capable of handling materials efficiently and securely.
