Join our energetic logistics team as a Picker/Packer in Jacksonville, Florida! We are looking for dedicated individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for our diverse customer base. Your primary responsibilities will include locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, utilizing RF scanners or pick lists. Precision in selecting the correct items and quantities is essential. Following the picking process, you will be responsible for carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring their protection during transit. Accurate labeling and preparation for shipment are also key duties. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area is a core requirement. Strict adherence to all company safety policies, including the mandated use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This position involves significant physical exertion, including continuous walking, standing, and frequent lifting of items up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items carefully into shipping cartons, ensuring product protection.
- Apply correct shipping labels and necessary documentation to outgoing packages.
- Ensure packed orders are ready for staging and shipment.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work station.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages encountered during picking or packing.
- Support other warehouse functions as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a Picker/Packer role or warehouse environment is beneficial. Ability to work with RF scanning technology. Must be capable of lifting up to 45 lbs repetitively. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse safety protocols. Positive attitude and strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
