Join our vibrant logistics team as a Picker/Packer in Los Angeles, California! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for our valued customers. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for selecting items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or scanner data, ensuring the correct products and quantities are gathered. Following the picking process, you will expertly pack these items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring they are protected during transit. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for labeling packages accurately and preparing them for shipment. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is essential. You must strictly adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing, and frequent lifting of items up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick sheets to identify and retrieve items.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities for accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping cartons.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Ensure all items are packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, including receiving or stocking, as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to read and interpret order forms and labels. Capable of performing repetitive lifting of up to 45 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Understanding of warehouse safety guidelines and logistics operations. Eagerness to work collaboratively in a team environment. This position is critical to our logistics operations, requiring an individual focused on speed, accuracy, and maintaining a safe working environment. Familiarity with various packing materials and methods is a plus.
