EAB Sales Engineers drive partner development efforts by providing product and technical expertise, being a subject matter expert regarding market/industry trajectories and informing product/services/technology solution utilization at leading colleges and universities across the country. Sales Engineers must be able to quickly develop expertise in EAB's products and services (especially data management, partner usage statistics, lead generation, and recruitment funnel analytics) and exhibit or develop broad knowledge of higher education strategy and recruitment cycles. Regular interactions with senior leadership will be expected and encouraged.This hire may be based in Richmond, VA, Washington, D.C, or Minneapolis, MN.Primary Responsibilities:Become a subject matter expert to help partners and EAB team members understand total market potential for Audience Generation business across all product lines for current, potential, and cross-sell partnersServe as a strategic advisor, bringing thought leadership and logical curiosity to each partnership to maximize both scope and results for our business and partnersProvide working knowledge of partner spend, current scope, historical changes in scope and provide validation of spend/scope fluctuations with outcomes/data validationAdapt data that flows through EAB from Enroll360, Consulting, Financial Aid Optimization, Analytics, and sales to create bi-directional insights to drive holistic salesAlign with EAB Partner Success Managers on renewal and data share calls to walk through business intelligence tools, build data story, and create partnership review documentationAssist EAB Partner Success Managers pre, post, and during renewal for partnership strategic expansion/right-sizingCreate additional tools, reports, visualizations, deliverables, and support marketing efforts with usage data, partnership delivery data, salesforce data, student data, partner data, and other sources that inform the health of the market and growing needs or recruitment for all partners across all sectorsExecute audience analysis to elucidate the current share (both utilized and untapped) within a partners enrollment funnel that shows the performance and reach of the proposed solutions we offerBring awareness to additional market share shifts where EAB's Audience Reach expands to accommodate institutions' desires to increase their geographic recruitment footprintServe as a voice of expertise to other business lines/leaders across EAB to showcase outcomes for the Audience business lineCollaborate with external vendors/products/services and their respective teams to develop and enable sales staff with new and revised solutions to maximize partnership resultsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree5+ years of experience in B2B or B2C sales or sales support requiredDemonstrable and proficient extract, transform, load (ETL) abilitiesExcel/Data exploration proficiencyExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, technical)Ideal Qualifications:Internal or external data/sales experience highly preferredDemonstrated commitment to professional development and continued educationPassion for winning business through data and educationExcellent commercial facing/professional sales personaLogical curiosityDemonstrable work ethicCommitment to embracing a continual learning environment and contributing to a dynamic and welcoming culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB's mission, values, and aspiration.If you've reached this section of the job description and are unsure of whether to apply, please do! Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation.
