JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about driving delivery excellence and enabling leadership to achieve strategic outcomes? As a Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Vertafore, you will go beyond traditional facilitation. You'll partner with product and technology leaders to drive releases, optimize delivery, and provide actionable insights through metrics. This role is deeply embedded in the products you support, ensuring alignment across teams, transparency in progress, and proactive risk management.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

  • Delivery Leadership: Partner with product and technology leadership to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across multiple Agile Release Trains.

  • Release Management: Own the release process end-to-end, including approvals, change management, and communication of milestones.

  • Metrics & Insights: Analyze and interpret delivery metrics (capacity, predictability, feature completeness, WIP) to identify trends and drive improvements.

  • Product Engagement: Develop deep knowledge of assigned products, their roadmaps, dependencies, and revenue impact to anticipate risks and enable informed decisions.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, DevOps, Shared Services) to foster collaboration and accountability.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in process or performance and lead workshops, training, or ad hoc sessions to get teams "green" and improve maturity.

  • SAFe Facilitation: Coach and facilitate SAFe ceremonies (PI Planning, SOS, Feature Refinement) to align teams and deliver on commitments.
