Maintenance Technician – Air Filter Manufacturing & Production Equipment

Location: Miami, FL / Las Vegas, NV / Bethlehem, PA

Filter King is one of the fastest-growing air-filter manufacturers in the U.S., operating multiple production facilities nationwide. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing equipment running at peak performance and ensure high uptime across all production lines.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining all production equipment used in air-filter manufacturing. This includes pleaters, glue machines, cutters, compressors, conveyors, box-making equipment, and general facility systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and a proactive approach to preventing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production equipment (pleaters, glue systems, cutters, compressors, etc.)
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.

Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) according to schedule and document all work.

• Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime and keep production running.
• Maintain and repair facility systems including air compressors, HVAC, conveyors, motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Assist with equipment setup, calibration, alignment, and optimization.
• Track parts, tools, and maintenance supplies; notify management of needed reorder points.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate closely with production staff, supervisors, and plant managers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical or industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Experience with pneumatic systems, belts, bearings, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
• Basic electrical knowledge (sensors, wiring, troubleshooting control issues).
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work safely around moving machinery.
• Welding, fabrication, or electrical certifications are a plus.
• Experience with pleaters, box-making machines, cutting equipment, or similar machinery is a major bonus.

Compensation

• Competitive pay based on experience ($50,000–$75,000 annually depending on skill level and location).
