The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled
Video & Static Editor
with a proven background in
direct-response editing
,
UGC
, and
performance creative
for paid social. You should have a strong understanding of what makes ads convert on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube—cutting for thumb-stopping hooks, pacing, story, and clarity. This role will work closely with our Creative Strategists to design high-volume creative across clients each week. This is a fast-paced, collaborative, remote position with clear weekly output expectations.
What You'll Do
Editing & Output
- Edit 20–40+ assets per week depending on complexity (UGC, repurposed footage, static-to-video, motion graphics light treatments).
- Transform raw footage, UGC submissions, client libraries, and internal creative into high-performing ads.
- Build multiple variations per concept (hook swaps, CTA tests, cutdowns, fast/slow versions).
- Create compelling storylines from imperfect or varied footage sources.
- Maintain consistent creative quality, pacing, sound design, and clarity.
- Add captions, subtitles, on-screen text, and light motion graphics when needed.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Strategists to interpret briefs and translate creative angles into edit-ready storyboards.
- Communicate proactively with Strategists when footage is missing, unclear, or suboptimal.
Process & Turnaround
- Deliver fast turnaround times (24–72 hrs depending on project).
- Participate in weekly creative review and accept notes with a solution-oriented approach.
- Organize project files, maintain consistent naming conventions, and follow Pixel Theory's creative workflow.
- Uphold brand guidelines for each client while adapting to their tone and style.
What You Bring
Technical Skills
- 3–5+ years of video editing experience, ideally in a performance marketing or agency environment.
- Strong proficiency in: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects (light motion), Figma, CapCut (bonus).
- Ability to create motion graphics, animated captions, transitions, and light effects.
- Understanding of aspect ratios, export settings, codecs, and platform-specific requirements.
Creative Skills
- Deep knowledge of UGC editing, direct-response ads, and paid social creative trends.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual clarity.
- Ability to self-direct edits but also take feedback quickly and without ego.
- Familiarity with sound design, music sourcing, VO alignment, and audio cleanup.
Soft Skills
- Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Comfortable editing high volume each week without sacrificing quality.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with e-commerce brands.
- Past experience at a creative production house or growth agency.
- Ability to ideate small creative concepts or storyboards from scratch.
- Experience analyzing performance metrics and iterating accordingly.
