Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Facilities to lead and oversee all aspects of our facilities management operations. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our manufacturing and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical and electrical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of facilities management systems. As a key driver of operational excellence, you will coordinate maintenance activities, manage technical teams, and implement innovative solutions to optimize facility performance.
Duties
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive facilities management strategies to support manufacturing operations.
- Oversee maintenance programs for HVAC systems, electrical networks (including high voltage and low voltage), mechanical equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems to ensure seamless production workflows.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule, track, and optimize maintenance activities across all facilities.
- Supervise teams responsible for electrical work, mechanical repairs, industrial maintenance, and general facility upkeep.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols aligned with industry standards; conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate projects related to facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations with internal teams or external contractors.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance procedures, schematics, electrical diagrams, and inspection reports for transparency and future reference.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical issues swiftly.
Experience
- Proven management experience in facilities management within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure (including high voltage and low voltage), mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading technical teams in fast-paced settings.
- Strong familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and tracking.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and control system troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical diagrams such as schematics for electrical wiring or mechanical systems effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to high voltage electricity, industrial machinery, and general facilities operations.
- Project management skills to oversee facility-related projects from conception through completion while managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
