Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers.

Duties
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Ensure pricing is accurate
- Assist customers in locating products
- Promote sales by offering product demos and upselling when appropriate
- Supervise and support other cashier staff when needed

Requirements
- Proficiency in basic math skills for cash handling
- Experience with cash registers and POS systems preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues in a professional manner
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, percentages, etc.
- Willingness to stock shelves and perform other retail duties as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
