We are seeking an Associate Attorney (Litigation) with 3–5+ years of experience in commercial or construction litigation to join our established Tampa law firm. This role offers hands-on involvement in complex construction defect and general business litigation matters while supporting two senior attorneys on high-value cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation filings
  • Assist in managing construction defect, commercial litigation, and civil litigation matters involving residential, commercial, and public projects
  • Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Handle document review, fact development, expert coordination, and trial preparation
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of litigation experience in commercial, civil, business, or construction matters
  • Experience in construction defect litigation preferred but not required
  • Active Florida Bar admission (or imminent eligibility)
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, drafting, motion practice, and overall case management
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple matters concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior attorneys
  • Certifications such as LEED, Board Certification, or Construction Management are a plus but not required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000–$165,000 (commensurate with experience)
