Program Manager/System Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee complex technical programs from initiation through delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, excels at cross-functional coordination, and is comfortable driving schedules, budgets, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication, leadership ability, and strong customer-interface skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage assigned programs through full lifecycle—planning, execution, monitoring, and completion
• Maintain program schedules, budgets, milestones, and risk plans
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, leadership, and external partners
• Ensure all customer requirements are met and documented
• Prepare and deliver technical and status presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
• Support proposal development, cost estimates, and strategic planning
• Oversee subcontractors, purchase orders, and program-related logistics
• Identify issues early and implement solutions to keep programs on track

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• 7+ years of program or project management experience (aerospace, defense, optics, or advanced technology preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in Functional Management, Engineering Management, or Program Management
• Experience with DoD customer
• Strong understanding of program management methodologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
• Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling tools
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• U.S. citizenship may be required depending on project assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing government or defense contracts (e.g., DoD, NASA)
• Technical background in electro-optical systems, sensors, or imaging technologies
• PMP or equivalent certification
