Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Advanced Composites Lab Technician to join our. The Advanced Composites Lab Technician supports the Quality, Manufacturing and R&D departments through the fabrication, preparation, and testing of composite materials using both open and closed mold processes. This role is responsible for producing test specimens, performing conformance testing, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting results to validate production processes and ensure compliance with specification requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform composite material layups in both standard and non-standard configurations
- Precision cutting of composite materials with close attention to detail, fiber orientation, and weave patterns
- Vacuum bagging, debagging, demolding, and post-processing of composite parts
- Prepare, clean, and maintain tool surfaces and lab equipment
- Machine, measure, test, and analyze composite test specimens using table saws, band saws, presses, and other lab equipment
- Operate and support testing using load frames and test fixtures
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data accurately
- Maintain detailed, organized lab notebooks and electronic records
- Support internal research and development programs and testing initiatives
- Work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in R&D and Expert Services laboratory areas
Experience
- Experience working in a technical or laboratory environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
- Ability to machine and prepare precision test specimens
- Experience with data collection, documentation, and traceability
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or Pro/ENGINEER (Creo)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
