QA Automation Engineer

1Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Playwright Automation Tester to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a robust automation framework that ensures the high quality of our web applications. Your goal will be to move us toward a Continuous Testing model by integrating automated suites into our CI/CD pipelines and reducing manual regression overhead.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Build, enhance, and maintain an end-to-end automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Test Scripting: Design and execute high-quality test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and E2E scenarios.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) to enable automated gated check-ins.
• API Testing: Develop automated tests for RESTful APIs to ensure data integrity and backend reliability.
• Cross-Browser Validation: Leverage Playwright's capabilities to ensure seamless application performance across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve flaky tests.
• Code Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards for test code maintainability and scalability.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 a year
