WiFi Network Engineer

Remote (Portland, OR preferred)

PAY:
Target pay for this role is
$60–$70 per hour

What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the go-to engineer solving complex WiFi connectivity issues in Linux environments and supporting mission-critical deployments in healthcare and medical device settings. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with building a brand-new
Network Readiness Tool
to ensure smooth, reliable customer installations.

Responsibilities Include

• Diagnosing and resolving WiFi connectivity issues (software + hardware)
• Developing and deploying a Network Readiness Tool
• Analyzing wireless performance and standards
• Supporting customer installations and resolving connectivity blockers
• Leveraging tools like TCPDUMP and wireless sniffers
• Documenting troubleshooting steps, configurations, and best practices
• Collaborating across engineering, product, and support teams

Who We're Looking For
Must-Haves

• Strong WiFi troubleshooting—deep understanding of wireless protocols
• Linux OS expertise and comfort on the CLI
• Proficiency with TCPDUMP, wireless sniffers, and diagnostics
• Experience supporting critical WiFi connectivity (hospital or medical device environments)

Nice-to-Haves

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CWNA
• Python or scripting for automation
• Cloud networking or deployment experience
