Server Position – Fine Dining Restaurant

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and deliver personalized, attentive service throughout their dining experience
• Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS system TOAST
• Knowledgeably recommend specials, upsell menu items, suggest pairings—including wine—and enhance the guest experience while supporting sales goals
• Perform professional wine service, including presenting bottles, proper opening techniques, and pouring
• Serve food and beverages promptly while upholding high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Process payments accurately, including cash and card transactions
• Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain compliance with all health and sanitation regulations
• Assist with light food preparation, table clearing, and supporting kitchen operations as needed
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, resolve concerns efficiently, and cultivate positive relationships
• Maintain a clean and organized service area, including table setup, restocking supplies, and ensuring an inviting environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in restaurant service, preferably in upscale fine dining, or vibrant nightlife environments
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of wine service protocols and wine list familiarity; ability to make informed recommendations and pairings
• Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Proven ability to multitask effectively and remain composed during high-volume service periods
• Strong basic mathematics skills for accurate transaction handling
• Food safety certification or solid knowledge of sanitation standards preferred
• Experience in food handling, preparation, and general restaurant operations is highly valued
• Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and well-groomed appearance
