Sky High Studios, Inc. is a small boutique pole fitness and dance studio. It is our mission to not only provide a fabulous workout for teens and adults regardless of ability, gender, orientation, or age, but also provide an experience that will help build strength, both physical and mental. We strive to challenge people to move in ways they never thought possible, explore a variety of movement, express themselves in a fulfilling way, and embrace the wonderful and dynamic person within. We believe that fitness is vital to all around well-being and strive to provide a community that will foster personal accomplishment and greater joy of self.
Purpose:
To help manage the day-to-day operations, manage customer service and front desk issues, and help organize studio events, scheduling, staff and any other miscellaneous duties. I am a small business owner looking for someone to manage most office and service duties so I can focus on larger projects.
We are looking for someone who is team oriented, proactive in problem solving, and can help improve our operations as needed. We are a small team, but there is a lot going on here, so someone who wants to be actively involved with making our studio a better place for both the staff, the clients, and ownership.
Education/Work Experience:
- Sky High Studios, Inc. places a high value on workplace experience and on-the-job education.
- Bachelor's Degree – appreciated but not required
- Minimum 3 years office administration experience (required), supervisory experience appreciated
- Fitness Industry (either commercial or boutique) experience is valued
Personality/Values:
- We're pole dancers - we do strange things with weird people and every step of it is crazy and unique. You have to have an excitement for what we do and believe in our mission.
- Must be comfortable working in a predominately female environment. There's a lot of us.

- You must have strong community values and will uphold a positive studio atmosphere.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administrative - Managing day-to-day operations of Sky High Studios, Inc. including but not limited to scheduling, customer communication, general administrative, supply inventory, coordinating events, etc.
- Operations Analysis - Working with ownership to maintain and develop systems, policies, programs, etc. to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
- Sales – Sell studio memberships and packages, track and analyze membership sales, identify areas where we can increase revenue, work with ownership and front desk staff to implement sales techniques, promotions, etc.
- Scheduling - Manage schedule changes, class/training times, front desk shifts, and assignment of specific duties; work in accordance with ownership to meet client requests.
- Miscellaneous - Any other tasks that may be required as part of general operations or staff management.
Specific Skills Required:
- Administration/Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Customer/Personal Service - Knowledge of principles of customer services, including assessment of customer needs, adherence to service quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Value Driven Interaction – Interacting with staff and clients of Sky High Studios, Inc. based on our values system with the goal to meet their needs in accordance with community standards.
- Communication – Proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Clerical - Knowledge of administrative procedures such as word processing, managing files, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Sales/Marketing - Knowledge of basic sales techniques in order to sell memberships and services, help create promotional materials as needed, and provide quality services to our clients.
- Technology - Must become proficient with our various POS, CRM and communications systems. Experience with MindBody Online, LoopSpark, Canva, Slack, and Trello are appreciated but not required.
- Management of Financial Resources – Working within a budget to manage studio operations.
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Systems Analysis/Evaluation – Be proactive in analyzing our current systems. identifying measures of system performance and the actions needed to improve systems.
Other:
- Active Learning – Willingness to continue learning and developing management/sales skills.
- Active Listening - Listening to what the studio and staff needs and helping to create positive solutions.
- Judgment and Decision Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Complex Problem Solving- Identifying complex problems and implementing solutions.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and the ability to create graphics for marketing materials/email newsletters is a plus.
- Knowledge of WordPress, Divi, and Elementor.
- Sales experience.
- Experience in the fitness and/or pole industry.
Required Hours and Benefits
Hours and Scheduling
- Hours - Position starts as part time minimum of 16 hours a week. Up to 25 hours a week available. Times may vary depending on studio needs.
- Shifts – Scheduled shifts are a combination of day/evening/weekends as studio requires with on-call hours when management/ownership is not physically in the studio.
- Hours of operation – Sky High Studios, Inc. hours of operation are 4:00pm – 8:30pm Monday – Thursday, Friday CLOSED, Saturday - Sunday 9:30am – 2:30pm (not including workshops, private lessons/parties, special events).
