Position Overview
We have partnered with a well-established Boston law firm to hire a Real Estate Legal Assistant who is experienced, reliable, and comfortable in a traditional legal admin role. This team is looking for someone who can keep files organized, stay ahead of deadlines, and manage a large volume of documents with accuracy. This position will join a supportive environment and work directly with four attorneys This is a fast-moving group, so we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities without sacrificing quality
Key Responsibilities
- Open new matters, run conflict checks, and prepare all associated files
- Organize, label, maintain, and archive both physical and electronic client documents
- Manage attorney calendars, reminders, meeting schedules, and critical deadlines
- Assist with billing, time entry, and proofreading invoices and e-billing submissions
- Review and route incoming mail; prepare and track outgoing mail and deliveries
- Redline, edit, and format commercial lease documents and PDFs
- Serve as a point of contact for attorneys, clients, and staff while maintaining confidentiality
- Collaborate with the administrative team to support daily workflow and broader firm processes
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of legal administrative experience
- Strong tenure and a dependable work history
- Experience in real estate law preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent document management and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shift priorities as needed
- Professional and clear communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
