3/4-time Optometric Clinic Assistant

Job Summary:

Join our team at Ritzinger Optometric Clinic as an Optician/Optometric Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting patients with their optical needs. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for people and a strong background in customer service.

Responsibilities:

-Assist in administrative and clinical duties such as preliminary testing and making appointments

• Greet patients warmly and exceed their needs
• Assist patients in selecting eyewear frames that complement their style and prescription
• Provide accurate information about lens options, coatings, and treatments
• Process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth operations in the clinic
• Maintain a clean and organized environment to enhance patient experience
• Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to offer informed recommendations

Requirements:

• Strong people and computer skills

-Reliability and dependability in the workplace
- Familiarity with senior care needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Be able to work well on a team but be self-motivated while working alone

Position is 3-4 days per week., likely split between our River Falls and Hudson locations. You will be scheduled in several departments in our clinic. We will train on-site for administrative duties, patient care, optical, and our electronic health records system.
