Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Before and After School Program Staff member, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. In this role, you will support children's growth and development through structured activities, supervision, and mentorship. Duties

  • Supervise children during before (7:00 am to 9:00 am) and after (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm) school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts, and educational games
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
  • Assist with homework help, tutoring sessions, and educational support tailored to individual student needs
  • Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response actions when necessary
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support each child's unique needs and progress
  • Support children with special education requirements or behavioral challenges through compassionate guidance and appropriate interventions

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, babysitting, tutoring or early childhood education
  • Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education accommodations
  • Experience in sports coaching, theater arts or other extracurricular activities is a plus
  • Certification in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
  • Demonstrated ability to create a safe, inclusive environment that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
