Job Summary

Duties
- Supervise children during before (7:00 am to 9:00 am) and after (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm) school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts, and educational games
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
- Assist with homework help, tutoring sessions, and educational support tailored to individual student needs
- Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response actions when necessary
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support each child's unique needs and progress
- Support children with special education requirements or behavioral challenges through compassionate guidance and appropriate interventions
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, babysitting, tutoring or early childhood education
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education accommodations
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts or other extracurricular activities is a plus
- Certification in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, inclusive environment that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
