About the client My client designs and manufactures a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Attributes
Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
Be proficient with using SolidWorks CAD software ideally
Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within the manufacturing sector
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Full UK Driving Licence is essential
The Mechanical Design Engineer Role Will Involve
Working within the existing design engineering team
Producing solid models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
Creating the necessary documentation for the designs including BOM’s
Carrying out engineering calculations when required
Liaising with other colleagues
Offering technical assistance when needed to customers and suppliers
